Police news for July 26, 2023

• Hushemui Shakar Buckner Jr., 43, of 307 Quinby St., Sharon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a possible drug overdose call at 2:59 a.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 400 block of New Castle Avenue. Police said he had what they suspected to be crack pipe in his front pants pocket.

• Daniel J. Marmion, 74, of 269 Dougherty Ave., Sharon, was charged July 20 with assault and harassment after an incident reported at 7:12 p.m. July 6 in the 200 block of Dougherty Avenue. Police said he sprayed Mace at his neighbor.

• Cassandra Lee Owens, 53, of 1157 Cedar Ave., Sharon, was charged with institutional vandalism, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and possession of marijuana after an incident reported at 12:03 a.m. July 20 on New Castle Avenue and Quinby Extension. Police said she was holding three beer cans and appeared to be intoxicated and had a bowl smoking device, and urinated in the back of the patrol car, police said.

• Antonio Rodney Parrish, 23, of 453 Baldwin Ave., Sharon, was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident reported at 1:43 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue. Police said they found in his residence multiple digital scales with crack cocaine residue on it, a large amount of a substance suspected to be marijuana in multiple individual plastic bags, multiple plastic bags containing substances suspected to be crack cocaine and heroin/fentanyl, a plastic bag containing a substance suspected to be psychedelic mushrooms, a large of amount of cash and a handgun reported stolen to Sharon police in February by the owner.

• James A. McKinney, 23, of 979 King St., was charged with obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest after an incident reported at 1:43 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue and Leslie Street. Police said he entered an active crime scene and refused to put his hands behind his back when ordered.
